Marine Corps Veteran, Oscar “Ozzie” Doucett, of N. Providence, Dies at 90

Doucett, Oscar L. “Ozzie”, 90, of North Providence, died on July 10, 2021, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. 

He was the husband of Rejeanne (Patanaude) Doucett for 62 years. Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Everett and Lillian (Detige) Doucett.

Ozzie was a retired project engineer and served as a sergeant in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He also owned his own home inspection business for several years. 

He was the past president of the Woonasquatucket Rotary and past president of ASHRAE, as well as a past member of MENSA.  He was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants football and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife, his son, Louis Doucett, and his sister, Evelyn Burr.

Services and burial will be private.
