BBNaija 6: I Had A Tough Upbringing, Dad Was Assassinated – Cross

One of the housemates in the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition of the BBNaija 6, Cross has narrated the story of his tough upbringing caused by losing his father at age 14.

Cross Ike, who made the revelation during his diary session on Friday, said that his dad was assassinated leaving his mum with six children to take care of.

The 31 year-old housemate while narrating to Biggie ahead of Friday night task and his preparation, said the task resonated with him as he had an experience that could help him to deliver it.

The task was a debate on couple having a joint account and the gains and pains of the practice.

Cross, who was almost moved to tears during the session, said as the first child of the family, he had to grow up fast to take care his five siblings because losing his dad made life unbearable for his mum and the children.

“Life was tough for us after my father was assassinated because my mum was uneducated and the families abandoned us and we could not get the support we needed. I can say that it is God that helped my mum to raise the six of us.

“My father who in my opinion made the mistake of making me the next-of-kin instead of his wife because I was still young. We lost money because my father’s lawyer used this to his advantage. I was 14 years and could not access the money at the time. The lawyers lied to us and bolted away with the money,” said Cross.
