Geddes, N.Y. — There were more people at the New York State Fair on Saturday than any other day so far this year, according to state fair officials.
The 64,867 in attendance were about 8,000 more people than the next highest day, which was last Saturday (56,820).
The final Saturday of the fair has typically seen the largest attendance numbers. In fact the 147,749 people that walked through the fairground gates in 2019 were the most of any day ever.
On Sunday, Latino Village Weekend continues with its annual Drag Show at 4 p.m. on the Talent Showcase Stage near the Youth Building.
Fairgoers will also get the chance to milk a goat at 2 p.m. in the Dairy Goat Show Tent.
Sunday’s concert lineup includes the return of The Mavericks who will perform an all-in-Spanish show at 2 p.m. at Chevy Court, followed by a multilingual show at 7 p.m. at the same location.
Also performing Sunday is singer Jesse McCartney at 2 p.m. on the Chevy Park stage. Rapper Sleepy Hollow closes the night with his performance at 8 p.m. at Chevy Park.
